It's been less than two months since CC GSO got a new GSM. From what I hear he/she/it was fired in the past few days. Anybody know more? That didn't last long!

If true, that could be a record...

Wouldn't be a record..Can't recall his name but, a GM in Orlando at CC only lasted 2 DAYS!

Maybe - just maybe - perhaps the person was not qualified in real life - perfect on resume but...... Even for the EVILE CC!

That's kind of what I was thinking. It's probably a good thing that they didn't drag their feet in getting rid of them. Better to cut your losses early than let a lame manager hang on and make things even worse.

I heard it was someone in sales with a big paycheck .... it is most likely just way to save to save money ... word on the street is that CC Greensboro lost well over 300K aleady this year.

It was the GSM. And not the case to just save money.

I heard he was a nice guy and respected some people in the building.

That was funny. particularly the emphais on "Some" people.....

I wonder if they are allowed to replace him/her given their "no hire" mandate.

The mandate is set to run out after this month. I'd hope they'd take more than 2 weeks to go thru candidates anyway. The CC sale is set to go down next week. But I take that witha grain of salt after hearing closing dates in Dec and Jan before.

CC can hire, but only the RVP/RVPP can sign off on it. This just occurred in Cleveland with the original "Buzzard", rock WMMS. A local AM host was severing ties with CBS. WMMS got him but had to pay the freight. The RVP/RVPP signed off on the deal.

The no hire is there, but can be overruled with proper clearance. If it improves ratings and revenue the it'll be green lighted.

When I first saw the title of the thread, I read it quickly and thought it said:

New GSM at CC Greensboro CANED(!)

...which is pretty funny, i guess

XT has always been a good talker. You might say he's a cunning linguist.

...sorry, I had to...
