New GSM at Forever?

Looks like they finally got a real pro to run sales in State College. New GSM comes from Clear Channel stations in big Michigan market. Maybe he can turn things around.

Ned baby - keep up with us...he was the one that just got fired.

Fired!? Already!? Now that is funny. Who could possibly keep up?

I guess I am behind the times, Becker (Wow! Ted Dansen is a radio geek!)
If he quit. Why?
If "nobody liked him." Why?
Anybody out there have a clue about what is going on?

Well, I heard that crying in sales meetings and living out of your office are "no no's" at Forever.

Oh, and one more that's been speading around town: Don't change the rate card without prior approval from "YOU KNOW WHO". (Hermes)
DUKE

boy Duke of Paducah, you just can't fool you guys - by the way, Rome is great this time of year

Hopefully this GSM sticks.

But, I would suggest to keep 2/3rds of his bags packed. Will give the new boss at least 6-10 months to perform and they will can again.

Being consistently mediocre does add to job security in some companies

Consistently mediocre would be a great improvement. The odds are catching up that it is the selector, and not the selectees that is substantially at fault. Unavoidable conclusion: Consistent failure is only acceptable at the top.

Ned nails it!
Hermes has the strange habit of defending things with platitudes.
Mediocre! Please. Outright failure.
With the success that Confer and Alt had in putting together the State College cluster, it is mind-boggling that they put up with consistent failure of the managing partner. "Failure to plan is a plan to fail" What is the plan? It never sems to change. Fire, hire, hope, fire, hire, hope, etc.
If performance is the touchstone, then hoping to be excellent won't make it so.
And blaming the latest of a seemingly endless supply of victim/manager(s) doesn't change the facts.

Oh! Wiseman, thou art truly wise!
But in thy wisdom I think you give Confer and Alt (and Deppen) an unjustifiable pass.
True, they had the forethought and financial acumen to dominate S.C.,
but who else can be held responsible for allowing their investment's value to sink under the gross mismanagement discussed here.
My guess is that the receptionist at any Forever property could give each of them better insight into what goes on in their million dollar investments than any manager silenced by the great micro-managing judge and jury.
