Hmm..ya know...different people call them different things. Most of them, if not all of them, however, when, ahem, manipulated, slide up and down...and sometimes, on newer or more expensive models, may glow (in which case you may want to run) ;).
 
He used to be the afternoon guy on the old KYNG (Young Country-Dallas) back in the 90's.
