New Gwen Stefani single

Anything would have a hard time being a follow-up to "Hollaback Girl," but of all the tracks on her album, I'd say "Cool" is going to have one of the hardest. Gwen has much stronger tracks on her album, and though it will probably be successful for the sake of being Gwen's next single, I think it would otherwise be no more popular than "What You Waiting For" was.

Predictions?

I think Hollaback Girl is strong enough right now where we have a few more weeks until we should worry about the next single off of Love Angel Music Baby. But - when it does happen, I actually feel "Cool" is the next strongest single off the album.

I'm predicting a #3 peak for "Cool" on the CHR/Pop chart and it'll get plenty of spins on Hot AC stations as well.

Will "Cool" halt the slow but steady rise of "Hollaback Girl" on Hot AC?

It's an OK song, but is it just me or does the beat sound like a bad 80s song?!

lol

It's okay. Sounds more like No Doubt music than her 80's stuff. It will peak somewhere in the top 5 at least...not because of the song, unfortunately because it's Gwen Stefani. Once you have two top 3 songs, most of the rest of your singles (unless they're bad) end up there.

Still somewhat stiff. Top 5.
