New Haven Colesium Implosion

Did anyone see any local coverage of the implosion event this morning. WTNH in New Haven did a pretty decent job I think. Even with the 15 minute delay, anchors and reporters kept up pretty well. Given the criticism of WTNH's preduction issues lately, I was expecting a trainwreck :)

Were WVIT and WFSB there live? I noticed that 'VIT was running the Today show as of 7:00.

WTNH totally owned the New Haven Coliseum Implosion! They were, without a doubt the station to watch. They had four reporters from four seperate locations, all live as well as a half dozen differen camera shots including the only live aerial shots and reports from Chopper 8.

30 had two reporters at the same location...cheap. But at leat they were there.

3 was reporting form their bureau near the green...mised the boat.
They can't do anything LIVE. Everything is either a map and the anchors saying "we have a crew on the way" or a pre
-assmbled package.

This was a MAJOR news event in the state and the only station that properly covered it from start to finish LIVE, was WTNH 8.

Glad I picked the right channel to watch then!
It was quite a sight to see for sure.
I created a much bigger dust cloud than I expected.

I too watched and even recorded WTNH on the NH Coliseum implosion. STANDOUT JOB by Channel 8. I chose to watch them because...well they ARE IN NEW HAVEN along Elm Street of course. I'm glad I did--nice job channel 8. You know, I think many years ago when I was little I went to the circus with my dad and a friend of his about 1980 or so. It may have been at the New Haven Coliseum. Then again I was 6.
