New Haven's dead-air pirate

Now that the Bridgeport translator has moved to 104.5, it will be even MORE important to get that dead-air pirate off the air. It's going to reduce their coverage, for sure. I heard the translator quite clearly in Orange, but the dead-air pirate was starting to cut into their signal as I headed toward West Haven.

The BEST PART is that WIHS is now CRYSTAL CLEAR where the translator was burying us, before. :D

Just a little update... no problems at all with the 104.5 translator... but I just discovered a certain group with more translators than socks, has a CP for one in the Shelton area, on 105.1! WHY???? WIHS has been receiving interference complaints since sometime in October, which coincides with the granting of that CP. Is it on the air? If so, it *MIGHT* be the source of those complaints... which we are taking very seriously.

Well, if it's on the air I couldn't pick it up 3 miles away. So, it's either off the air or still being built.

I assume the "certain group" you refer to filed for a translator because their main signal comes in quite poorly, at least when I listen to it.
