New HD subchannels

The HD bandscan is quite different since last month. Here are the changes:

92.5 HD2 Classic Country ... back after a long hiatis
95.7 HD2 Dance Music ... formally Pride, 101.3 HD2 dance station has moved to 95.7 HD2
101.3 HD2 WELI 960 ... was on 101.3 HD3 which is gone
104.1 HD3 WFAR ... religious broadcaster known for many translator stations ... poor audio
104.1 HD4 Spanish ... announcements in Spanish/English mix ... "fresh mix with DJ MG" ... poor audio

Other notes:

101.7 has been home to a strong Spanish pirate in New Britain.
No HD on 105.9 and 97.9. Both Clear Channel stations had HD in the past.

That Spanish HD signal on 104.1's HD is feeding the Bridgeport translator that is giving fits to some of WIHS' listeners! :(

I don't know about any spanish pirate, but 101.7 is home to the caribbean BEAST of a pirate, Energy Radio 101.7. Seriously, check out their facebook at Energy Radio Hartford and their website, energyradio.co, no "m" at the end.

They've got nicer studios and equipment than a lot of the AM's in the state. I believe they're somewhere up in the North End. You can buy ads, subscribe to the website for 30 bucks a year, host a show, anything! If that's not your style, Busy 103.3 over at the West Indian Social Club does the same with a slightly different flavor. Both cover like class A's.
