New HD2 community radio station in San Antonio

Guess it is. It's also legal for a translator to have their primary station as an HD2 or HD3 station.

And KRTU HD2 is on the air now. I'm hearing a lot of R&B. I just heard an ID from a woman saying she was gonna be on from 10 to 1 every day and she said "KROV, Restore Our Voice."

You can call your station whatever you want as long as you do a proper legal ID once an hour.
Here in Austin, 1490 tried to relive it's glory days as KNOW even though they had surrendered the calls years earlier. You had to listen carefully to notice that once an hour they actually said KMOW in the legal ID. And there are countless stations across the country caling themselves KOOL Oldies even though their call letters are not. My favorite was XHOCL "KOOL 99" in Tijuana/San Diego.

Has it been 6 years? I think it has.

Update time: KRTU HD has been off for several years. KROV is still streaming over the Internet but no HD signal for them. I think they still mention the HD on their website which is odd.
