new here and a question: Anyone have any London and Engleman

Hello, new here (told by a friend). I used the search function and found little so I thought I'd ask if anyone has any London & Engleman for the KWST/KMGG Los Angeles era (1981-1983)? Does any of their shows survive?

Weren't they on KRTH for a time?

They were at KRTH, but left for KWST when they went CHR in July 1981. I've submitted an aircheck of the AOR to CHR changeover OF K-WEST-106 to ReelRadio.com that features L&E. It should be posted sometime during the next few months.

Thanks much. My wife says she has found some old audio tapes in my stuff in storage that has some of their on air stuff on it (recorded when I was a kid) I don't know if it's any good...and I KNOW its a jumble.

We have a scoped aircheck from KMEL 1985 if that helps? Runs to 14 minutes.

Heres a link on what happened to London and Engleman after KMEL.
I do know for sure that London and Engleman was replaced by Rick Chase on KMEL in 1988 or 1989 when KMEL flipped to its current format Hip-Hop and R&B Contemportary.

Are you sure? I don't remember Ric Chase in the morning on KMEL - he was always afternoon drive. And as I recall it, The Morning Zoo (London & Engleman) were on during the Hip Hop format...at least for awhile. At the time, Wild 107 (still had the KSOL call letters) was KMEL's competition (before Clear Channel owned both), and L&E were on against Mancow on Wild.

Bill Lee was in there somewhere, too.

Engelman was gone by '91. I think he was gone earlier, too; Renel was with him in 89 when I visited. No Engelman or mention of him.
