New Honesdale FM Signs On

WZZH, 90.9, Honesdale, PA has signed on. It is broadcasting for a new tower directly next to the WQFN, 100.1 and WLKA, 88.3 antenna locations on the top of High Knob between Waymart and Carbondale, PA. It is part of the "WORD-FM" network (Christian Rock) from Sellerville, PA (between Allentown and Philly) (also at 93.3 in Wilkes-Barre). How about some signal reports.

That's cool... another signal modulating at 160% - deviating onto the second adjacent like all the other ‘WORD-FM’ full-power translator stations. I'm told Gawd likes LOUD! (I think it's because He has an old radio that doesn't work too well...) ;D

But I wish them the best…

I listened overnight (about 2:00am) while driving around WB. 90.9 was coming in anywhere between "unlistenable" to "hey, pretty darned good."

90.7 was wiping it out fairly well at times, but otherwise the stereo light was firm and the audio good.

Actually quite the different. The modulation levels on 90.9 are horrid. Their Hawley translator on 89.1 FM's is OK, but the 90.9 audio levels are in the mud, and out of balance. Think they would check these things?
