I am hesitant to mention his name. So I won't. A host of the past, one with an "off the wall" outlook on life, is rumored to be doing the morning drive in Cartersville Georgia starting Monday. My question, if this is true, is why?

Yes, David Paul did a show a couple of weeks ago on a sleepy AM in Cartersville that you need an internet connection to listen to if you live outside Cartersville. He'll be on from 7-7:02 on Monday.

I assume this is WYXC 1270. The other station, WBHF 1450, doesn't even have a website (it is owned by a local nonprofit).

WYXC's power is 500 watts day, and less than 100 at night. They can be heard in Acworth OK (they advertise Dave Ramsey on a billboard in Acworth.)

On WYXC's web site it says that they have recently quadrupled there power, so that must mean they are now 2000 watts during the day and probably still remaining at 100 watts nighttime and are heard in about 12 counties a little north of Atlanta. All I can say is good for David, assuming this is true, and good for WYXC. I enjoyed David Paul's bizarre style of radio many years ago. WYXC does stream. But, is this just a rumor? I went to David Paul's web site and there is no mention. I sent an email, no reply yet.

They cannot be heard in 12 counties on a normal car radio, but hey... who said there has to be truth in advertising. Here is the technical information on the station: http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?call=wyxc&sr=Y&s=C

WXYC's website is advertising a "zany" morning show from 6-9am, but no mention of who's on the air. I would be surprised if it is David Paul back on, but again, there are no personalities listed on the page. We'll see.

Be sure to listen for any FCC violations, Mr. Airwaves.

I listened to David Paul this morning. The show was funny and surprisingly pg-13 rated. I only heard the 8 to 9 hour. There was no sexual innuendo at all in the brief time I listened. No need for a complaint. I am convinced that he must take drugs that influence his thought process to come up with his strange views though. Can't complain about that.

I heard most of it, and it really wasn't that bad. I hope David will stick around this time. I wonder if that whole 'bailing on GST' was a stunt or not?

It was entertaining!

I think it's great that David Paul is back on the air. They better buy more bandwidth though. I'm not having any luck with the YXC Internet stream.

Glad I'm not the only one having that problem!

The XYC stream was working today, so I was able to hear some of David Paul’s new morning show. His lefty politics and Bush bashing really stirred up the locals. It was entertaining and reminded me of his debut on WSB when the loyal Ludlow Porch listeners were shocked.

David Paul is back!

I listened for about an hour before I had to commute to work. There was a statement put forth by David Paul where he encouraged the men in the audience to wake their wife at 2 am and ask them to make a sandwich, because of hunger. This would prove their love. If they didn't, they did not truly love their husband. Of course, in Cartersville, he got a complaint or two. It was funny and creative.
