103,5 may not be the only new station Huntsville gets soon. It sounds like the 93.3/94.1 simulcast of Urban AC is finally about to split. I've been expecting this for some time now. I posted a long time ago (I think of the old radio-info.com) about Urban AC moving to 94.1 and something new comming to 93.3. Well, I was listening today and they have begun to open their breaks with the mention of 94.1 first, then 93.3, instead of the other way around like they have been doing since the simulcast started. Also, they have several new drops and imaging they are playing that make no mention of 93.3 at all. They say "94.1 WHRP". Sounds like they are preparring for the split, and trying to get their Urban AC listeners used to 94.1 so they will make the move with them. The question is, what is going to be on 93.3, and are they finally preparring to move 93.3 to its new CP in Huntsville? Rhythmic perhaps?I think its possible with WEUP back at number 2 in the ratings. I dunno but this is the most excitement Huntsville radio has seen in a while. A new station on 103.5 comming soon. A new 93.3 preparring to launch. Plus, the new Fun 101.1 could potentially effect this market as well. They put a pretty descent listenable signal into most of Huntsville. I can't wait to find out the new formats. Hopefully they will be something worth listening to.
