New i93 Morning Show

Adam Bomb from Cumulus Atlanta's Q100 has departed...could he be the new morning man on i93?

http://www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/70972/adam-bomb-gone-from-q100

Night slammer ADAM BOMB exits CUMULUS Top 40 WWWQ (Q100)/ATLANTA , posting on his FACEBOOK page, "Thanks for the Past 4 Years Atlanta! Best of my life! Leavin on a huge high! & Q100 will continue to keep rockin! and Kickin Boring 94's Arse. Details on where the show lands in a few."

CUMULUS SVP/Programming JAN JEFFRIES told ALL ACCESS, "It is with pleasure that we are able to keep the rotation going in moving our talent and PD’s to new locations. After four years at Q100, ADAM has expressed interest in moving to another legendary CUMULUS CHR. We have the opportunity and it is being extended to ADAM. Additional moves coming soon to a radio near you."

So who's gonna grab this coveted slot that ADAM is vacating? Details soon!

It's a wordplay on atom bomb, and several high profile CHRs go by that name.
I doubt it's I-93 as Jeffries indicated that Adam Bomb will be moving to a legendary (ie heritage) Cumulus CHR.
Seeing as how Karson has just exited Houston's 104 KRBE, which is indeed a legendary CHR, there's a good chance that's where Adam Bomb will land.

i93 is also looking for a night-time jock. He could go there as a night-time jock.

It makes sense. I think he was on KRBE a few years back, or some station on HOU.

Where did you hear this? I remember hearing that Billy Bush was going to be on there, very similar to their Indianapolis station, I94.

How about Rick Shaw, Justin Case, Paige Turner, Virginia Hamm or Holly Wood? ;D

And don't forget traffic chick "Elaine Changer".

(And what about Chet FORD? Anybody else notice that Chet Ford and Tommy Daniels sound identical? Do we really need to rename traffic reporters for car brands?)

Jonathan Dodge... anyone?

U-Turn Laverne (Kate Garvin,) Marva D. Love and Ray Hubbard, Jr. Shadow could get very corny with cute-sy air names.

I used to tell people that Laura Houston is just a stage name, that there is a "Laura Dallas" doing traffic in Houston. Some actually believed me.

Of course, the name "Crash" is overused in traffic. Of course, around here, it refers more to the reporter's aircraft.

The old KBOX-1480 had "Kay Box."

Hey Mike, you mentioned the word "crash" (referring to a name), and it gave me the chance to vent...

I wondered if it was just me, but I get tired of hearing the word "accident" when reporters are obviously referring to what I think is usually driver inattention or, lately, someone yacking on the cell phone that doesn't look before changing lanes. Listened to KRLD last week and heard the word '"accident" 5 or 6 times in one report. The word "accident" itself seemed time consuming. And as I know "wrecks" or "crashes" aren't intentional, I've come to the conclusion over the years that they're not really an accident. It was someone more than likely doing something stupid.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!

Well, would you rather them say "we have an issue"..that really gets me when
some idiot reporter says that. An "issue"???. Give me an effin' break!

When I did traffic on 'BAP, I alternated between accident and crash for variety (never
said fender bender - too cutesy stupid), so I wouldn't sound like a damn robot. Many of the
reporters just read off the computer screen, and have no clue how to ad lib or do a rewrite
- HELLO WORDPAD OR NOTEPAD - to cater it to their particular station and make it sound
better in their presentation. And if it was known that is was a car fire or stalled car, I'd say
that. It's best to tell the commuters what is up ahead if it is known, rather than just leaving
them in the dark... "we have an issue" "we have a problem". Well then..., what the F is it?

I hate the use of "jammed". Way overused. Personally, I never used it, but I have heard it
used on the big 1080 WAY too many times. Jamed here, jammed there, jammed everywhere.
It's a freakin' jam party! How about alternating between slow, heavy, congested, "and you'll
hit the brakes between so and so"?

I could go on and on and on about my traffic reporting pet peeves, but I digress, since we are
talking about the I-93 morning show ;D

That is why the Texas DPS changed "accident reports" to "crash reports", FYI.

Billy Bush to start tonight on Cumulus Houston KRBE, Dallas i93 and Q100 Atlanta.

I thought Billy's show is only on Sunday morning at i93.

Billy is the nephew of Daddy Bush, and the first cousin of Baby Bush. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Bush

Personally, I find him irritating, and when I see that face, it looks just like that horse-faced, constipated grimace that the last Bush president used to give often.
