NEW IMAGING ON WBZ SANS J.J.

With the new year, WBZ has changed it's imaging, and I noticed that J. J. Wright is not part of it.

Also, the intro to their :15/:45 sports now refers to the report as "sports headlines". The length of the report seems about the same.

Yep, I'm done over there.
It was a fun 4 year run, thanks Peter and Bill. Anyone looking - for an imaging voice? Preferably TV ;)

I used to love the old WBZ-AM 1030 ID on the hour, before the ID changed for digital and the delay that came with that sound. It started with four distinct notes, followed by an almost haunting tone under the announcer: "This...is...IT! New England's most listened to radio station...NEWSRADIO...1030...WBZ...BOSTON!". I think it even had a slight reverb right after he stressed "Ten-THIRTY...". I may have recorded it once from here in central Connecticut, despite the weak daytime signal. :)

The one I liked best was in the 70's... went something like this, "You're listening to The Spirit of New England, WBZ Boston, a Group W, Westinghouse Broadcasting Company, It's Ten O'clock"

Does anyone know the name of the voiceover talent that WBZ uses at the top of the hour and is also on 98.5 The Sports Hub? I believe he's also been in NFL films, campbell's soup commercials, etc.

i remember listening to WBZ around 1969 or 1970 to the overnight phone in show here in indianapolis.
