New industry e-newsletter for Standards stations

Continental Entertainment Group is now publishing a new monthly e-newsletter for Adult Standards radio stations and their staffs. It features industry news pertaining to the format, artist news, editorials and always a "featured artist" of the month. I am assisting them with the distribution lists and through my tracking log account I have for my artists I will be supplying them with a monthly airplay chart hopefully by the March issue when the monitored stations list gets updated and logged in. Adult Standards Radio News is intended to help station management see what else is going on in the format, what trends are developing, and especially expose them to the plethora of wonderful new talent that is available but frequently unknown. ASRN is currently compiling a list of artists contact details that will be made available to program directors who wish to contact them for promos.

Anyone wishing to register to receive the newsletter can send me a personal email with your email address and I will pass it on to Continental's IT guy. All submissions are strictly confidential. If you would like a copy of the January newsletter that already went out let me know and I'll forward you a copy from my email. Send any requests to:

[email protected]

Don't miss the February issue as the editorial is sure to stir some controversy!

This is something that has been really missed in the industry and especially for the format. None of the trade publications no longer have anything like it. I can only imagine how many PDs are out in smaller markets with no idea of the wealth of new product and artists involved with the Great American Songbook.
