New Invention

The Japanese have invented a new system. It's available online, cell, ect. It's a pay service. For a few dollars a month you can go online and program your own station. You pick by bands or songs, ect. The service downloads to your device. Phone, Sat Reciever ect. and your at the control, and yes DJ's give you trivia, or you can tell the service to can the talk and you only get music! Pretty cool... The plan is to get this service in the U.S. in the next 5 to 6 years.

It's like radio but each person can design their own station.

Love it. ;D

P.S. If you like the chatter, the DJ's are on a list, you can listen to each and pick the jocks you like.
If the service plays a song you like you can click and download the tune. If you look at the prices, oldies are around 99 cents, new tunes can cost up to 2 bucks.

I think in the future most Radio/T.V. Stations will be server based. New show/songs will appear, you can watch or listen. If you really like, download the product for a fee.

???????

hands, anyone, hands, ???

Yeah, I read about that, too. Sounds interesting. There is already a service available NOW (for free) that does everything except the DJs. Check out www.pandora.com You can have any number of different stations fine tuned to your paticular taste. The service learns from your input. Tell Pandora you like a song and it will pick more of that type of song. If you don't like a selection, just click the "thumbs down" icon and it will never play that song again. If you really want to shake things up and get a very unusual mix, try mixing groups or singers from very different styles (ie George Jones, Led Zepplin) and listen to the mix. 8)

I believe what we call AM, FM and TV will no longer exist by 2020.
