Scrapping the "lost" KXOL assassination tapes after 4 years to play some other "lost" coverage on this weekend's "Hi-Fi Club." Listen for coverage from KILT-610 AM in Houston, KBOX-1480 AM in Dallas, and KDNT-1440 AM in Denton (KDNT's has never been replayed anywhere before. KDNT owner Harwell Shepard was at Market Hall for the presidential luncheon that day, and had some interesting comments.)

Go to www.thehificlub.net. First streaming play will be this Sunday night 7PM-8PM over KLDE-FM in Eldorado/San Angelo. Link provided on the HFC website. I'll have it in podcast form on the site after 11/23.

Eberhart, are you going to play the KLIF tapes this year over 1650? I purposely left KLIF's out of my mix since you usually have it covered well.

"The Hi-Fi Club" will run the same show again this week, so if you missed the JFK coverage, or care to hear it again, it will replay over the weekend. Go to www.thehificlub.net and click on Affiliates/Streaming/Podcasts for dates and times. The podcast has already been posted, so you can listen right now if you want.

For the weekend of Dec 5, I'm doing an all-out John Lennon tribute, and may even throw in a few George Harrison bits since he passed away Nov 29, 2001 (an all-out Harrison tribute will probably have to wait until this time next year for the 10-year anniversary of his death.)
