New Jingles on 60s on 6

Boy, has anyone heard the new classic PAMS jingles on 60s on 6? Unlike the first batch (which sounded great), these new ones are sung terribly. The harmonies and inflections are all completely off. As a PAMS fanatic, things like that just drive me crazy. :(

If JAM cut these, I don't know what they were thinking!

Wow, that would be a shock if XM went on the cheap like that, but considering the first batch - which were done by JAM - were great, the new ones are just horrible by comparison...so who knows? :-\

....Another hour of music...pow..pow...power!

Is that a new jingle? I love that one! I just got XM last week. I never thought I would but it's a protest against terestrial radio. The station I work for part time just changed the compensation agreement for doing voice tracks and I decided to tell them bye bye.

Anyway the stager I heard at the top of the hour this morning cracked me up. It was something like "From outer space using technology from space aliens". It was well done with lots of energy.

It showed me how much AM/FM sucks where I live. If only XM would improve the audio quality which is sometimes lacking.

Just my .02

I didn't hear the first set of jingles as I just got XM a week ago, but 60's on 6 with it's high energy jocks & jingles is great....until they start running stuff like John Lennon's Jukebox & some of the other 'specials'. If they would do CQ USA 7 nights a week & drop most of the 'specials'...they'd be perfect.

The easiest way to tell the "old" 60s on 6 jingles from the "new batch" of 60s on 6 jingles is in the singing.

The "old" ones (including the 'hour of music pow-pow-power' cut mentioned above) sound great - belted out, good harmonies, nice job by Jon Wolfert and the JAM gang.

The new ones - which I really don't think were done by JAM - have half-note-off, wimpy, breathy vocals, full of incorrect inflections (didn't these ever even hear a PAMS jingle before singing these?) that sound like they're being sung by four guys they picked up off the street, all wearing clothespins on their noses. Blech.

Doesn't hurt the format though, which is a testamnent to how well XM presents the 60s on 6.
