You guys don't get on topic of jingles a lot. I want to do this for once.

I herd from Mike Thomas at ReelWorld Productions in Seattle and it looks like KPLZ Star 101.5 is usingthe Hallam FM package.

Can we please stay on topic please?

Talk to me!

Like What do you think of the new imaging on Star?

To me, I love this package. it is better then the B 94 package they had back in june 1999.

I'm a jingle freak, remember.

I'm a jingle freak too, and jingles here are a little disappointing.

As far as the cuts on Star go, they use 2 or three ramps. No shotguns or logo cuts. Each ramp cut has Casey Keating VO over the top.

Jingle freak as well :) I actually am not a big fan of STAR but the jingles are pretty good in this cowboy's opinion and they found em in Hallam ??? Wheres that ???For a foreign package it fits, props to them, best in town. For this cowboy's taste the country music they are playin and the jingles are good. Morning show and the rest of the music: not so much ;) all kiddin aside its a good jingle package.

Yes, if you're looking for Z100/NY-type jingles, 101.5 will be "disappointing", but actually the "unjingles" Star uses are perfectly matched to the station and the format.

Had the opportunity to listen to the jingle package through the ReelWorld demo package. An interesting parameter to use male and female singers and an un-jingle approach. This will need further review. There is really nothing quite like it. I miss the jingle parameters of shotguns, zingers and multiple approaches. This package may be the answer for Modern AC or Hot-AC that play a rock ballad based core of sound that does not lend itself to the typical SOFT-AC jingle or the CHR shotgun jingle approach. This will take some analysis. I suspect the KPLZ consultant transitioned this idea. I truly doubt anyone internally has the expertise since the PD has never really worked out of the Seattle market in two decades and there are no other music stations in the cluster. I have heard Guy Z. is the KPLZ consultant and may be rolling out this jingle concept. I have not talked with him in years but compete in several markets and this is his signature style in my humble view.

Just so everyone here knows, it's the Hallem 2006 package.

I actually like the jingles used on Star. It's on Christian FM in Florida. Don't know what city it's from.

Mail and feamale sings? That might work on some occasions, but I prefer the full Group sing. Listen to cut 9 in the hallem 06 package and you will hear.

People are losing jobs and the ya ya's at STAR are spending money on jingle packages. Nice. Like t hat is going to help that station when the Potable People Meter arrives. I am scanning boards and that this is all seattle can talk about. ya ya sad.

I really like the jingles from the early 90s: "Seattle's Number 1! Triple the music 101.5 KPLZ!!!!" KkkkkkkkkPppppppppppppLlllllllllllllZzzzzzzzzz!

That was at probably one of the worst times in the history of programming on 101.5

I like how they all would brag about 100,000 watts! Crystal Clear from Compact Disc! KNBQ was all over that CD stuff! Fun times!
