The new Beyonce doesn't sound good. Thats two others opinions also when they heard the song which was on 68 The Heat.

I absolutely agree, and everybody was crying that the south ruined hip hop. Well, what is this techno sounding sh!t doing to music period?

Yeah, her new song is garbage and this might be the first time since 2002 she has bombed with "Work It Out".

That song sounds ok. It's not Beyoncé's best works but hey it is what it is.

Looks like everybody beat me to the punch. Beyonce really should've left that instrumental alone. The original song was so much better than what Beyonce turned it into. I don't think Beyonce or anybody involved with putting the lyrics on that project put much effort into the lyrical production of it.

As far as uptempo pop dance music, the vocal singing songs are ok. However, all the silly lyrics and autotune rap on dance beats is "killing the new generation dance sound". A lot of poor quality lyrics and productions are being pumped into dance. Too many artists are choosing quantity over quality, trying to keep up cash flow with a music trend / style that they really don't have a good feel for.

Jason Derulo is normally good, but the lyrics of his latest hit just killed a nice instrumental production. I would've just preferred a re-release of Robin S - show me love with the modernized instrumental sound rather than what Jason Derulo did to it lyrically.

New songs I'm enjoying:

Frank Ocean - Novacane

Tyga - Far Away

Trey Songz - Unusual

Dj Khaled Ft. Drake & Rick Ross - I'm On One

Not sure how I feel about the new Lil Wayne "love song", but, I'm sure it will be blown and hyped up.

Should any Rhythmic's be playing this song Adele - Rolling In The Deep, because Hot 93.7 in Hartford, CT is. Now I know other CBS stations are playing this that are labeled Rhythmic/CHR like B 96 Chicago, but B 96 is more a CHR. As for Hot 93.7 they aren't playing a bunch of songs currently hot listed below.

On My Level - Wiz Khalifa
Roll Up - Wiz Khalifa
John - Lil Wayne feat. Rick Ross
Country S**t - Big K.R.I.T. feat. Ludacris and Bun B
Best Love Song - T-Pain
Booty Work - T-Pain
I'm On It - Famous Kid Brick
Novacane - Frank Ocean

I'm loving most of Frank Ocean's music. It's shocking that the first station to officially add it in the most extensive rotation in Phoenix was KZZP. Is that really a top 40 song first, then a rhythmic or urban last? Or what?

Of course, I first learned about it from the legendary Power 106 in L.A.
Actually, I physically heard it on KZON first after 2am on The New @ 2 Drive Thru Mix..

The Tyga song is pretty good, too, and I kind of thin that the new Fuego ft Ty Dolla$ign is better than Chris Brown's "Beautiful People". The Best new UKG track (in my opinion) is KCAT ft. Mike Delinquent Project http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5O1i_zgPylI big ups to UK Garage & 2 Step in London, which is on the rise again.

You would think that KKFR or KZON would pick it up first, and not the Top 40 station of Phoenix. I love the new Fuego ft. Ty Dolla$ign song, unfortunately I don't think it will ever see the light of day, but its such a great song, it deserves to be a summer smash. I heard about Novacane first on Hot 97, then it spread like wildfire out here on the East Coast.

"The Best Thing I Never Had" - Beyonce (just heard it today on Hot 93.7 )

Funny thing is the song played after Beyonce's new song was "Best I Ever Had" - Drake

I first heard "Novacane" by Frank Ocean on KMEL about a month ago.
Frank Ocean's Novacane has a strong Musiq Soulchild vibe. Urban AC KJLH Los Angeles is giving it spins, Rhythmic KPWR Los Angeles and Rhythmic KGGI Riverside as well. True R&B right there ;)

I heard the "Novacane" song for the first time when I was riding through Austin, TX listening from 102.3 The Beat. Z92.3 out of Killeen, TX just started playing that song last week.

Trina - Red Bottoms

T.Pain - Booty Work
Trina has a new song out? How does it go? She has always been the best female southern rapper since 2000's Da Baddest B***h and 2002's Diamond Princess. She needs to show Nicki Minaj how to rap in a smarter delievery. If you're a hardcore Trina fan like me, holla back? My favorite by her are Told Y'all(2002), Da Baddest B***h(2000), Pull Over(2000), B R Right(2002) and No Panties(2002). Overall she is a great lyricist.

B, yeah her new single Red Bootoms is hot (Youtube it)! I also like Trina too and i'm glas she didn't go in hiding like the other Florida gals (Khia and Jackie-O).

Will do ShawtyblackATL my station KPWR Power 106 should start spinning any day now. I used hear Trina alot on KKBT 100.3 The Beat & Power 106 in the early 2000's. Khia hasn't made anything new since her 2002 smash hit My Neck, My Back (Lick It). The video for Khia's My Neck, My Back(Lick It) was big hit on B.E.T.'s 106 & Park during the spring and summer of 2002. I still My Neck, My Back(Lick It) on occasions but I wonder why it's not a recurrent on some urban & rhythmics stations. It's ok Khia is too ugly and hideous to be seen anyway. Remember when Khia and Trina were beefing in the early 2000's? They were trying too compete for the "queen of the south" title. IMO Trina looks bomb for 32 years old ;). Khia is too hideous to even be in the spotlight. BTW What was your favorite Trina hit in the early 2000's. I love Pull Over from 2000.

Wow, that's the first time I've ever heard anyone refer to Trina as 'best' or 'great' at anything. Popular, successful? Sure. Good? Not to these ears.

Trina isn't a great lyricist, she's a Lil' Kim clone.
