New KKGO Morning Host

There's probably not a single person here who listens to KKGO, but they just hired a new morning host:

KKGO/Los Angeles Adds Tim Hurley For Mornings

Local singer-songwriter TIM HURLEY joins MT. WILSON FM BROADCASTERS Country KKGO (GO COUNTRY 105)/LOS ANGELES as morning co-host, effective MONDAY, JULY 1st. He will be teamed with ANGIE FITZSIMMONS, who joined the station for mornings in MAY (NET NEWS 5/14).
"I could not be more excited, humbled and honored to join the GO COUNTRY team,” said HURLEY. “I have been a long time listener and know that I have some big shoes to fill, but I look forward to joining ANGIE and spending my mornings with the Country music family in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.”

Actually, I do when I am in LA. It's hardly a great country station, but I like to hear what it is doing. My trip includes Froggy while in the IE, too. Froggy is the better station of the two.

I give an occasional listen, but I like classic country more than the stuff they put on these days, most of which seems very "country formulaic" to me. That said, I will say without a doubt that KKGO is the best Country station based in LA.
