New KLUV Website

All that fun web stuff, so you'll forget who has left their airwaves lately. I didn't even see where the jock's links/bios were.

I'm just glad to hear John Summers is still on the air. Nice piece he did today with Kenny Rogers talking about "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In.")

So...is Jody back? After the jab at David Henry?

Why would CBS spend (invest?) in a new website when they're laying off talent?

Doesn't make sense.

Because the web developer isn't overpaid like the talent may be? Especially if you contract it out, you can hire web/software people on an as needed basis and it doesn't matter what you're ratings are, you know what they're going to cost you.

Contrast that with talent who gets paid X amount, whether the ratings (and associated revenue) still justifys that. So if you've got a station like KLUV, and their audience is aging out of that prime 25-54 demo, (which means most likely that their revenue is also shrinking) do you think Jody Deans contract has a clause that causes it to shrink along with the ratings/revenue?

Think Debi Diaz had a clause like that..."Yeah we'll pay you 100K a year as long as we're at a 3.0 25-54. But if ratings drop to a 2.8, you drop to 80K, get a 2.6, 60K" etc etc
