New KOY Billboard!

Quick sidebar: Not sure if anyone watches KPNX 12 News on Sundays (which can be funny at times: check out the Phoenix TV board for more info), but they have a segment called the Basement Tape. This airs usually around 8:55 a.m. Rick DeBruhl goes back 25 years and looks at stories from Channel 12 Action News.

Sunday's story was about a billboard that 550 KOY put up with the character E.T.'s fingers lighting up the O. Universal sent KOY a nasty-gram saying take down the signs because it had their trademark.

At the end of the story, Brahm Resnik mentioned that KOY has its first billboard up in over 10 years 'in the west valley.' Has anyone seen the new sign?

In Sun City/Youngtown, on Grand Ave and 111th, facing inbound or driving southeast. Has pictures of Danny Davis and John Tesh. I believe it was a Clear Channel-marked sign and not CBS.
 
Speaking of Mr Connie Selleca...the genius producer of that show can't seem to lower the music volume when they run his voice track over an intro. It completely drowns him out. Plus the distortion factor equals those colonblow informercials on 11 Hundred. Now whatever you do, please don't tell Nurse Jeff that I was listening to KayOhWhy!

At least it's properly located, demographically. ;)

Is there space on the billboard to add Paul Harvey's pic, if and when?
(Not much news on that front from the Master Blogger recently.)
 
KayOhWhy certainly knows the music. Monday morning Nurse Jeff and I heard Chris Montez back to back with Hurricane Smith (oh babe, what would you say?) It just doesn't get any better!
