New KTVK Subchannels: Is it just me, or...

This afternoon (7/16) I picked up a Spanish video channel (Video Zona IIRC) on KTVK 3.1. Flipping around, I noticed 3.2 had color bars like KFPB's, and I found my converter had picked up a 3.3 and 3.4, both airing color bars. Switching to channel 24 and back to 3, I got KTVK and This TV back. Then I noticed every time I went to 3.3 and/or 3.4 and then back down, 3.2 would have the color bars and 3.1 the Video Zona.

Switching to 61.1 solved the problem once, I think, but then didn't seem to work. I could get KTVK and This back by switching to 24.1 and then back.

What in the world?
 
They're not KTVK subchannels; KFPB-LD, which broadcasts on RF ch 50, has its PSIP set wrong and is sending out virtual channel 3. I noticed the same thing this morning - saw Spanish-language programming on the second 3.1 channel with horrible quality and thought maybe I was getting DX from Mexicali. Then I saw the color bars on 3.2 - 3.4 and realized it was KFPB. I don't imagine the folks at KTVK are too happy about this.

Interesting how different TVs handle this. I have a Philips HDTV and cannot access channels by their RF channel number; only virtual. Therefore I have two channel 3.1's - KTVK and Video Zona TV, two channel 3.2's - ThisTV and color bars, one channel 3.3 and one channel 3.4.

Do you get the Video Zona TV programming and the color bars if you enter 50.1 - 50.4?
 
Seems to be OK now, at least for me. Now if KFPB would fix their feed so that Channel 50.1 doesn't switch between program, color bars, and a blank screen...
 
Nope - still showing on 3.1 - 3.4 on mine. I wonder if it's just the way the TV picks up the signal? Until recently, KDPH-LD was presenting its channel as 46.1, its RF channel, but others were reporting they were getting it as 48.1. KDPH is now presenting as 48.1, the correct virtual channel.
