CBS News and Stations today named Joel Goldberg general manager of CBS Newspath, where he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the affiliate newsgathering service that provides content to more than 200 television stations across the country. Goldberg will also continue to serve in his longtime role as senior vice president of operations for CBS Stations. The announcement was made by Wendy McMahon, president and co-head of CBS News and Stations, to whom Goldberg reports.
Additionally, veteran journalist and newsroom executive Maura McHugh has been named news director of CBS Newspath.

The Wall Street Journal’s Anthony Galloway has been tapped to lead CBS News’ streaming operations. In addition, CBS News said on Tuesday it has promoted booker Kaci Sokoloff, and hired ABC News veteran David Reiter to produce special events at the network and for streaming.
Galloway had recently been the chief content officer of editorial video, audio and voice programming at the Wall Street Journal. That position followed a three-year run as the Wall Street Journal’s global head of video and audio.
Galloway previously held senior positions at Condé Nast and Vice Media, following his 15 years at NBC News.
