New Life Live

Any word from stations airing the program on how they are to work with??? Is this supported by listeners...do they like the show?

New Life Live is a fine program with a few caveats......

The nature of the program can be difficult because it's live at about 1:00pm (est) and they can get into some dicey comments. If your station is "Safe for the whole family" some frank discussions of sexual relations can pop up. While these topics are beneficial they have discussed Oral Sex, Rape, and other Mature subject that are not very nice for family time. They are not crude, this is a medical showm but it may be a stumbling block for a parent who is trying to shield their child from frank sexual discussion.

The bigger problem I have with them is how they handle stations that no longer want them. Check out how they handled WAKW in Cincinatti. A station that was changing their format and decided New Life Live was no longer a fit with the ministry. They released confidential information about their impedning format swap in what I believe was a mean and caddy manner...

http://www.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=43545.0 -- This was dicussed last year on this very board.

I'd look into to these things if your considering the program.

One of the stations I previously worked for carried New Life Live for some time.

We eventually ended up replacing it with another program because the numbers were too low..
and we were carrying them on a "sustaining" basis.

But I'm not aware of any problems that station had with them.

If we hadn't been a daytimer, a late evening slot probably would have worked.

We replaced it with a local music/local features "magazine" type of program which did much better.
