Well the new lineup has been announced. Crash Poteet, recently let go in Dallas last year, will be coming back to OKC to do mornings on Jake FM, and Kevin Christopher, who is currently the PD will stay on in some capacity. On KKNG Lynn Waggoner will stay in mornings, followed by Jake Fisher (a salesperson in the office). Then they brought back Tracy Thomas, former KXXY native who lost her job last year, and then Sean Elliott will do evenings.

Back in the early beginnings before manned space flight, they sent monkeys into space. There was one flight where they had the monkey do something to get feed a bannana. All was cool but,when the monkey learned it could cheat the bannanna dispensing machine and get more bannaas it did. The bannannas ran out and the little @
! starved itself. That's a lot like most broadcast owners these days. They jimmied the damn machine to put out so many bannanas that they now expect it. They are short sighted and only want results today. That's why they go cheap most all the time. They know they'll starve themselves eventually but they still go the same route. They refuse to do the right thing. They have to cheat the bannana machine for more!! More! Moooooorrreee!!

I'm not sure who "Becky" is, as I never listened to KRXO that much. But according to the latest ratings Jake is not having quite the impact that the new staff was hoping for. And then poor KKNG, killed again by The Twister, and dominated by KXY who seem to have had a pretty good book.
Voice tracking during severe weather is such a waste of radio time. If anyone actually paid their people to come in and do weather they would dominate this market, especially during this time of year when you are driving around LOOKING at Tornados and all the radio stations are playing music!

With that being said, Clear Channel and for the most part Citadel are pretty good about getting the music stopped and tv weather on the air. CC seems to be the best of the big boys in doing this.

Glad to hear Tracy Thomas got picked up. I worked with her years ago and she is a true professional. She really cares about the content of her show and the listeners. And if any sales people read this post get Tracy to do your remotes because she delivers. (as radio sales people know most on-air pretty much suck at remotes however a few are AWESOME, Tracy is one of them ). Your client will love her and the listeners coming to the remote will too ! Worked with Crash too he is a good guy, hope the Tylers are paying them more than 5 bucks a day ! (Tylers still have their first dollar made in a tin can buried somewhere near Lake hefner, lol )
