Al Cocchi's Saturday Nite Fever Classic Dance Party Available to Part 15'ers Now!

Hi, I'm Carl Van Orden and you may remember me from my posts about antennas and coils on Radio Info Community Radio and some of you are customers of mine.

If your station is using a computer for automation, or if you have a computer in your studio, you have a unique opportunity to run Al Cocchi's Saturday Nite Fever Classic Dance Party!........Live!

Right now, this program is being offered for free, the idea being that the program will be advertised simply by airing on your station.

Al and I worked at the same AM station WRAN Dover, NJ over 20 years ago. Since then Al has continued in commercial radio working at some of the biggest NJ radio stations and producing programming for his own webcast radio station, cyberstorm.com He has also worked for NJ's premier FM classic rock station, WNNJ FM in Newton, NJ. He also played a big part in my Museum project, New Jersey Radio Museum (NJRM) as a Vice President.

AC's SNFCDP (Al Cocchi's Saturday Nite Fever Classic Dance Party) is a four hour show which will debut on 1/5/08 on the internet, free to part 15 stations on http://cyberstorm.com/asx/eplusradio.asx
The URL address of the station may change by debut time, but Al will keep everyone wishing to carry the program up to date on the progress of the broadcast.

To see if you would like to carry the program, which will run 9pm to 1am Saturday night EST, check out the demo Al has posted at www.myspace.com/snfcdp

The four hour show, which features disco/dance music from the seventies and early eighties, will also offer occasional interviews with famous disco music performers.
Al also does professional bumpers and sweepers for a small fee vIa mp3's, and my radio station uses Als promos and sweepers.
Sweepers, featuring your call letters and frequency...and info regarding AC SNFCDP are available from Al for FREE! He will email them to you and you can download or record them off the email...very easy to do.

If you use a computer for your automation, using SNFCDP will be easy. If you don't and want to carry it live, Al has set up a clock, which I will spell out down below. You could also rip it to cd's and play it when you wish to. But your station will become part of the network of stations playing the show.

This is the clock the show will run on,. so that if you want to insert commercials or PSA's (or anything else!) it will be easy to set up on your automation or to follow it if you run live.

Here is the clock:
:00-00:10: Station ID
:00-00:10-15:00 Segment One
15-18: Spot Break One
:18-18:05 Station Sweeper
18:05-:33 Segment Two
:33-:36 Spot Break Two
:36-36:05 Station Sweeper
36:05-:57 Segment Three
:57-:00 Spot Break Three

If you want to hear what AC SNFCDP sounds like, listen to a sample at www.myspace.com/snfcdp
Please send email of interest to Al, because he is very good at mentioning stations carrying the show on the air live.......!!!!!!!!!! and this is a big promo for you!
to [email protected]

Al would also like to know if you like the show and would like to run it. He is interested in information about your location and will at certain times talk about your station and your location if you give him enough info to go on. Imagine...having your station mentioned on a national show!

I"m not lying when I tell you this guy is genuine radio. Yes he is a friend of mine but he really cares about radio and preserving "oldies" in this case disco/dance music. And he has a huge library of this music too, so you won't stump him if you request something for the show. He usually broadcasts a request line number for your listeners to call and of course there is always email requests as well.

Al is great on air, and he has a very huge knowledge of the music, having also done mobile dj shows for over 20 years. Like I said, right now the show is FREE to air. And there is no real plan to charge for it.
Get to know Al and email him, he is very easy to talk to, he has all the answers and will be thrilled to answer any question you may have.

I"ll also go on record to say that Al does fantastic promos, bumpers and sweepers for your station; he does ALL OF ours!!!!!!!!!
Ask him about that, and I'm sure he will send you a copy of one of WCRV's sweeps he did over the past several years.

It makes your station sound very professional..
I actually got tired of hearing "myself" on the air, and Al did all the new ID's and bumpers/sweepers, promos for my stations shows, and they are more than outstanding. He's become our "station voice". Most of us couldn't do these as quickly and he does most of these on the computer with sound FX most of us don't have! Then after that he sends them to you almost as soon as you ask for them! All you have to do is record them to a cd-r!.....or use them directly.

If you are targeting mid 40's to fifties in age, this show is a no brainer to carry!
Dance music is always a hit with the younger crowd as well, so scheduling Al Cocchi's Saturday Nite Fever Classic Dance Party is a good idea if you play rock, pop or oldies on your station.
We have been carrying it via cd for a couple years now, and with the expanded show via internet we will be carrying it now live starting 1/5/08/

There is also a new opportunity to carry mainstream 70's music from Al's feed. My station isn't doing that yet but we plan to run some of it in our dayparts and that is another thing you can ask Al about.
Remember, write Al Cocchi at [email protected], (isn't THAT EASY?) and ask Al all the questions you may have if I didn't answer them here.

I'm looking forward to having all your radio stations on the network! There are plans for this show to go national commercial so now is a great time to jump aboard and have it in your market for free!
Part 15'ers need a lot of help and this show will be a big boost for your station along with Al's professional liners to help advertise it, you will really like the sound of this program!...and the quality it will bring to your station.

Check it out and let me know personally how well you like it.
I"m sure you will love it.
sincerely,
Carl M. Van Orden
