New Local Online Radio Station Looking for Jocks

Hello all!

My name is Sam D'Addieco. I'm currently a senior at Peters Township High School, and plan on attending St. Bonaventure University beginning this fall to pursue a degree in communications and broadcast journalism. As a fun project to bolster my resumé (and to keep myself busy being stuck at home all the time), I have decided to start my own internet radio station. Having a lifelong passion for local radio (and I mean TRULY local radio), I aim to give the station a Pittsburgh feel. I am looking for people that would be interested in voice tracking (or, if you're really up for it, doing a live show) on the station to help give it a local, personality-driven feel. I grew up with interactive, engaging radio and I'm really sad to see the industry diminish in recent years, especially because of COVID-19. I want to bring back some of the "fun" and "personality" that made radio really unique up until not all that long ago (after all, I'm only 18 years old), in addition to being fully committed to local talent and content.

The station will be of a Variety Hits format, playing music from the 70's-now, under the name "The Point." Right now, I have all dayparts open for anyone who's interested. Remember...shows can be tracked or live (or a combination of both) depending on your time commitment and personal preference. For those of you that have never tracked before, it takes me about 15 minutes to track a 6-hour country music program I host for TNN Radio (tnnradio.com), so even if you host daily it will not take up too much of your time. All you'd need to track is Audacity (or another good audio recording program), a basic mixing board, and a microphone. I promise...it's very simple!!

Let me know if anyone is interested...I look forward to developing the station into a local brand that's truly unmatched anywhere else and I'd love to get some passionate Pittsburghers to be a part of it!
