New log, UT graveyarder 11/13/15

Finally, I have caught a graveyard station from Utah. Aurora ish conditions, but only one new station.

1400 - KSRR Provo, UT; fair in jumble with end of standards song and ID "1400 K-Star" at 2014 PT 11/13. NEW #710, 1KW at 623 miles. A nice catch!

Also heard
1380 KLPZ Parker, AZ on day power - "1380 KLPZ" ID
1370 UNID SSer, could be KGEN Tulare (heard 559 in SS, which is the area code for Fresno) but could also be KWNC WA or KZSF CA.
820 XEABCA Mexicali strong
800 UNID SSer N-S - XESPN?
840 possibly KMPH "...Heart Radio" under KXNT. Too weak for ID, and now (2219 PT) it's Seaside under Vegas.

Nice catch, Crain. Actually, they're all pretty impressive. But what you're able to accomplish on the GY channels never ceases to amaze!

Regional channels boring?
Try graveyards!
With headphones and a ton of patience, it's a relief from the same ole same ole on the regional and clear channels.
Last night I had 1340 KACH Preston ID (530 miles) at TOH 2300 PT with an ID. Gotta love these channels, even though they will tire you and make you mad sometimes.

Its not so much that I find GY channels boring or even lack patience. I guess its more like I tend to view them as a lost cause. I really shouldn't, however. I do have to admit that when I hang out on one of them long enough, some identifiable DX usually turns up.

Bumping this up.

I got confirmation from a WTFDA member named Raymie, that KGEN 1370 Tulare, CA (my 11/13 UNID) has been confirmed. The phone number in the recording I sent, 559-799-0016, matches a phone number for Visalia, near Tulare. This is NEW #712, 710 watt day power especially as it was strong that night, at 720 miles.
