Title says all.
1580: KMIK Tempe, AZ: Heard Taylor Swift's "Teardrops on My Guitar (pop version)", followed by 1-800-327-7018 promo.

I heard 1580 from Tempe AZ back in 1970. It was early evening. The signal was heard in Indiana for about 8 minutes.
This was long enough to get a QSL card. I believe the call letters were KTUF back then.

My location is Bothell, WA.

I can receive two stations on 1580 from near Reno, NV.

Los Angeles and Tempe both at once.

KMIK & KBLA (if I remember their call correctly) AFAIK are the two geographically closest co-channel stations to each other that are both licensed to use 50kW at night.

Anyone know of any that are closer to each other, are co-channel, and are both authorized with 50kW at night, in the USA?

In San Diego, I usually can hear, although somewhat faint (using the select-a-tenna helps immensely), KBLA in the daytime. KMIK booms in like a local at night. Sometimes the only stations that have a stronger signal at my QTH are KFMB and KSDO. Also, sometimes in the winter months I've been able to hear KMIK in the daytime - I've even heard it drown out KBLA around noon on occasion!

FWIW they have a preset on my portable radio.

OK.. not strictly "USA', but in this neck of the woods 1010 and 1050 New York City and Toronto come to mind. KBLA and KMIK are separated by 371 miles. On 1010, WINS New York and CFRB Toronto are 339.2 miles apart, and on 1050, WEPN New York and CHUM Toronto are SLIGHTLY closer at 338.8 miles.

I don't know if there are other 50 kw pairs that are closer.

Ahh ok. Anyone else?

And it's fine if one station has a transmitter outside the USA, so long as their usable (without using special high-sensitivity directional loop/longwire antennas) groundwave signal reaches onto US soil.
