You can't compare that to WCTX however because of WVIT's rich history.
WVIT is one of the OLDEST tv stations in Connecticut. (In fact, I believe
it is #2 behind WTNH ex. WNHC-TV). So people grew up watching channel "30".
They know channel 30, no matter what cable system it is on.
(Or what call sign they had...)
(Same thing goes with other established UHF stations in markets, like WSBK, or WWLP, or WGGB)
WCTX is not that old. Starting as WTVU, going to WBNE then to this WCTX.
It's no where near as popular. So the new branding just might work out.
