New Macon translator on-air @ 105.9

105.9 is simulcasting Real Country with AM 900 WBML and AM 1150 WXKO Ft. Valley. It's bizarre to hear anything other than Gospel on AM 900. They were religious for what seems like decades.
 
Funny...when I think of AM900, I always hear "Beautiful Music", and the voice of (WCRY's) Hal Sutton ;) .

"Quality Radio Nine Hundred, and Beautiful Stereo One-Oh-Eight...W-C-R-Y, W-C-R-Y - F-M, Macon".

That's how I remember it.
 
One of the dumbest things Jack Tyken did in his brief reign as owner of WBML was to swap frequencies from 1240 to 900 Kc. Another dumb move was switching to "Six Gun Country". At least the gospel format ran for decades. The country format only stuck around as long as Tyken Oh, for the days of George Patton, Stubby Wilder, the Peek-A-Blue and "Nail it Down." Now that was a radio station!
 
"Hey, hey, whatta-ya say? Good afternoon people-people. You're looking amazingly well...amazingly!"

Don't forget the "Nail-It-Down Club", with Nod Gnik (we all spelled our names backwards on Saturday nights).
