I sure whis they had done more/made more changes to the nightly primetime line-up.

It'll be interesting to see how "the Odd Couple," "Family Affair," and "Taxi" will fare. Me-TV as a local channel has tried those shows before and in Chicago, at least, they didn't last long. I like them but Chicagoans didn't seem to take much to them

I like them too - and felt that MeTV didn't give them a chance. But they like to shuffle the programming deck quite frequently. I know on our local MeToo, I just started to get used to watching Dragnet and the Rockford Files on Saturday nights after Stooge-A-Palooza. Then, after a mere couple of months, they yanked the rug out from under me and plugged in The Rifleman instead. Personally, I much prefer Dragnet to Rifleman. Jack Webb's acting "abilities" are inadvertently entertaining.

Last night I saw a "coming soon" promo for "Lost in Space" on Me-TV. Haven't seen this show in decades. Had a 'thing' for Angela Cartwright in my youth. But it seems that of all the nostalgia TV digi-nets, Me-TV is acquiring the best shows.

With just one hour a week of LOST IN SPACE and STAR TREK, it seems those shows
are not being utilized enough.

Also part of the 20th Century Fox Library (which Me-TV uses) are THE TIME TUNNEL and
LAND OF THE GIANTS. I'd like to see them pick those up too.

I've never been a M.A.S.H fan, so I'm happy to see it reduced to 2 episodes each day. I'm also happy to see Taxi and The Odd Couple in the weekday lineup. I wish they would get Dick Van Dyke out of prime time and air something in color, such as Get Smart. But I guess they are trying to attract the Mary Tyler Moore fans. Here in Cleveland, we do not get to see Cheers since one of the local stations has the rights. We have been getting another dreadful episode of Dick Van Dyke instead.

Same thing happens in Atlanta.

Even Mary Tyler Moore, sometimes her shows are just too silly. Like tonight, Ted's
mother moves in with her boyfriend instead of getting married. DIDN'T WATCH.....
but I can imagine: Ted is all upset acting like a crying 10-year-old who had lost his
puppy. Mary consoles him. Lou thinks he's crazy....blah blah blah. Sometimes the
show is pretty predictable. What was bing bang zoom in 1974 just gets a chuckle out
of you today.

I'm digging the B/W Gunsmoke (Marshal Dillon) episodes. Those were hardly ever seen in syndication at least in my lifetime. I've only see a few on the internet. Haven't seen "Cannon" since the 70's. One thing that sticks in my mind. He would completly trash his car (Lincoln) and when they would come back from a commercial he would still be driving it without a scratch on it.

I wish they could acquire the rights to Small Wonder. It would be great to see that on TV again. (Yeah, I know, it's on DVD, but only the first and second seasons have seen a release. Seasons three and four have yet to see the light of day again.)

I never cared much for any episode centered on Ted, but I agree it's a bit odd to see, that the idea of two people living together without marriage (Ted's mother and her beau) would be so "shocking." Especially since it involves two older people. But that was a big deal in 1974

I hate to hear the negative comments about "The Dick Van Dyke Show." It was one of the best sitcoms on television of it's or any other time as far as I'm concerned. Sharply written, superbly acted. Dick Van Dyke. Mary Tyler Moore. Carl Reiner. Don't know how anyone can not like that. But, we all have our opinions and that's what makes the world go 'round as they say.

I do notice that "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" seems more out-dated. It may be that the show was more "topical" for it's time and as such, it feels dated. Whereas, "Dick Van Dyke" and others like "Andy Griffith" avoided topicality for the most part.

You sound like my brother. He liked Dick Van Dyke and when the family out voted him
to watch The Beverly Hillbillies on the other channel he didn't like it.

Funny thing was, we were hillbilly transplants also.......from Kentucky to Georgia.

I assume you mean in syndicated reruns...since both DVD and BevHill were both on CBS
they couldn't have been on opposite each other in first-run.
