Mike in Destin

Hello! This is Mike in Destin, which is Okaloosa County. Northwest Florida. I usually listen to oldies formats, and sometimes country, but I like oldies the most. Have a collection of Zenith Royal transistor radios I use mostly. Also use a few Panasonic pocket portables when I go on nightly walks. Use a Tecsun PL- 880 for FM and SW, and recently added an XHDATA D-220 for fun. Enjoy listening to football games and do a little photography too. I used to operate the Amateur bands often, but not now due to being in an apartment. The reception isn't too bad here, as long as I'm in the right spot, the kitchen! I do have one source of serious rfi. When the local Air Force base uses their radar it wipes out mostly everything, but fortunately it's only for an hour at a time. I enjoy reading about everyone's dx, and have heard some interesting low powered stations here.
