Hi. I came across this board when I was looking to discuss an FM translator that flipped formats here on Long Island. I am a former broadcaster of 20 years in Texas, Long Island and briefly at a satellite network in NYC. Although no longer in the buisness, as I have found a better paying more stable job, I enjoy chatting about radio past and present.

Hi David. Radio was starting to consolidate in 1998. Fewer openings, more voice tracking in multiple Markets. Plus I was married and burned out on radio and the egos.
