New Meteorologist at 12 News

Tonight, a new meteorologist, John Carroll, was welcomed tonight on 12 News. Kim formally introduced and welcomed him. I wonder whose place he is taking and is he just a fill-in person? His Linkedin bio says he works on staff at World Wildlife Zoo.

He's older, wears glasses, and seems to actually be trying to forecast the weather!!! Well, we'll see how he does at 10pm. Then again, I just noticed that Caribe is doing the weather at 10pm -- oh well!

As long as he didn't start the weather segment with dual expletives, I'm sure he'll be fine. :)

Did I say he's older and has television experience from Colorado??? This is not his first rodeo ;)

Looks like its a replacement, Meteorologist Rob Carlmark is Leaving 12 News for an AM weather position in Sacramento. Tram Mai just sent out a tweet: "Going to miss one of the NICEST & talented people in the biz @rcarlmark who's leaving us to be a star in Sacramento!"

How is going to a morning show in a smaller market "to be a star"?

Hope he remembers to take his wife who currently works in Tucson I believe.

Isn't Rob originally from Cali? That might explain his going to a smaller market. Also, he gets to be the morning met rather than weekend am/pm and fill-in.

Sounds familiar. I think this guy was a weekend meteorologist at 10 for some time in the early 2000s.

That would be before the reign of Jayme King, who started around the time I moved to Phoenix. ;)
