I have to agree with the bad sound and I am sure that is why their rating absolutely suck in the morning. If they sounded more like WMYI, I have a feeling that they might be a little more competitive.
 
*sigh* Does anybody miss the days of "Light Rock 98.9" and "Rick and Kimberly"? Ironic that the station is mentioned here, because I was just thinking about it earlier today. Boy, did it ever sound good. In my opinion, of course.

I miss hearing them. You can still listen to Rick online. His new station streams at http://www.1015theriver.com/main.html. That's Clear Channel Toledo. His partner is longtime Toledo morning show coshost, Marybeth.
 
I definitely agree that Rick and Kimberly were a great morning team and definitely do miss hearing them when I was in the area and the old Lite rock 96.9 was a really good station.

I'm mailing Hamlin some airchecks. I'd love to do Lite Rock. I've screamed and puked long enough. That's a tough format if you think about it. Massive demo....trying to please 'em all without offending any. being humorous without being corny or obscene. Nevermind, I don't have the pipes for it. Woodell was a west coast sounding smoothe puker and fit that format perfectly.
