Sad to say only a few remember WCCK. Think the calls are in Kentucky.
Couple 70's people are still here though. JJ Sanford (Jim Griffey) is prod dir for Citadel locally and sometimes on-air at co-owned WQHZ. Dan Geary is still at Froggy. Frank Martin retired in 2003 from afternoons at Froggy. Mike West (Fast Eddie Stanton) still works for the City of Erie. Bruce O'Brien was back in the market about 10 years ago but disappeared again. Joey Stevens has been a TV weather guy at WSEE since 1998, before that TV weather at WJET from 1978-1998. Bill Shannon is involved with Mercyhurst College. Runs their campus station, coaches youth hockey and is teaching a broadcasting course at Mercyhurst North East. Bob Bach (Johnny Holiday) still is in sales, has been at WJET-TV for many years.
So many people came through this market in the 70's/80's. Would love to know where they are now. Have been asking about a couple on the 'Where Are They Now' section here.
Needless to say, back to the original topic, helluva market jump from Jamestown, NY to Tampa! Don't know the guy but that's a pretty cice move up!
