New morning show for Sudbury's Big Daddy

According to Milkman ( www.milkmanunlimited.com/tunedin.htm )

Starting Monday at 6am it's Big Daddy Mornings with Carrie-Ann and Stan the Morning Man. "It is a brand new way to wake up Sudbury"

My opinion:
Now...surely SOMEONE out there has a comment on this one!
There's the top 40 fan with some whining to do, and the variety hits fan out that way that may or may not be happy with the choice thay made for mornings there.
I'm not from Sudbury, so it's difficult for me to say Yay or nay to the new morning crew...but I do wish them all the best.

I do like the sound of Big Daddy,
One does have to wonder why top 40 isn't viable out that way though.

Because it's a stand-alone station. CHR made sense when Rogers and Newcap were in an LSA, but if you're going it alone, you need a straight down the middle adult format.

Also, the Sudbury stations haven't been participating in ratings. If you're going to do that, you need a format that your clients will personally like. They're more likey to buy time on a station they listen to.

Thanks. I thought it may also have been possible that the younger french speaking population had grown making it increasingly difficult to maintain the top 40 format in english, since the french version of Z seems to be alive and well out that way.<P ID="signature">______________
