New Morning Show in Elkhart

I guess they got a new Morning show at Froggy in Elkhart. Beau Kennedy is his name, not sure where he's from, but already he's an improvement from Travis Kelly. He's upbeat, sometimes too much, but at least he's not corny. But, he's new. I still say the best talent on that station is the midday girl, Erika Jaye. She seems to carry the station very well.
 
Vartv had the news of his coming about 2 - 3 weeks ago. He is from Virginia and he does sound good on the air. It would be an improvement to have a co host though at Froggy in the AM (even when Travis was there).

Actually he is not from Virginia. I heard he was from the Outer Banks. I agree that Ericka Jaye is THE best talent that station has on the air. As for the rest of the staff, they are nothing special. Afternoons is a let down after Ericka. Do they need a change there? Why doesn't the morning guy have a co-host?

While I agree that ANY morning show sounds better with 2 people. If your budget only allows for one main person, then it should be a person that can step up and make something happen. It's obvious Travis couldn't make anything happen by himself. No shocker there!!!

Speaking of Travis... does anyone know, was he let go or did he leave on his own terms?... and if he's still in the game, anyone know where he ran off to?

I agree that a morning show sounds better with two people. I give Travis Kelly props for giving it a try. That is a hard road to go down. Sorry guys, Beau Kennedy doesn't have what it takes. Not unless he gets better fast. I have the same question about Travis....was he fired? Leave on his own? I heard rumblings that he was indeed fired, but I may have to inquire some more about this. If he was fired, is this the start of a shake up at Froggy?

WOW, only 4 days and you know Beau doesn't have it! Considering they gave Travis Kelly how many YEARS and he still NEVER got it, i'd say Beau isn't going anywhere for a LONG time. I also heard rumblings he(Travis) was let go. I wouldn't say it's means a "shake up" for Froggy, instead it's just removing bad eggs. As long as they are smart and keep Erika Jaye, the station will be just fine. She seems like the glue that holds it all together over there.
 
How about someone getting the answer from Jeff Deweese and posting it here? Also, out of curiosity, does anyone know what happened to WTRC's Bob Maxwell. He took over the WTRC morning show QUIETLY after Gene Walker went to Smooth Jazz 106.3. Later on, after Gary Sieber had been there a while and the two were working (roughtly about 5-7 months), he was suddenly gone? Was it his on-air mouth? I know I did hear a blurted obsenity or two (once in a brief while).

>It could have been a case of getting rid of bad eggs when it comes to Travis Kelly. If that was the case, I think there are other bad eggs that they could have looked at as well. Of course, the exception is Ericka Jaye. Maybe there are more changes to come. Will Jeff DeWeese ever give the "real" answer?

Good question about Bob Maxwell. He was entertaining. Anyone know if Travis got another gig or is he in the unemployment line?
