New Morning Show on Magic 98.1 FM

Just checked out Magic's website to see if anyone had been hired to fill the shoes of Uncle Rich (who in my opinion could never ever be replaced) and would be a great asset to Benji's great personality. The morning show has gone syndicated to Rick and Bubba. With this move, Benji is on back Mid Days.

Benji is actually doing afternoon drive.

What are your thoughts on this station going with a syndicated talk show for the mornings?

Magic always promoted its "live and local" aspect and played more music in the mornings to seperate itself from other stations and morning shows in Atlanta and surrounding areas. That is the hook that helped bring in the local listeners in Newnan and Lagrange.

Honestly Uncle Rich, I don;t like it. We both worked at Magicat the same time. The live and local aspect IS what seperated Magic from theo ther stations in the area. I have a feeling Jackie and benji fought this action. The great nteraction between you and Benji and as well as other jocks and a more varety of music made magic a no hand down better station cmpaored to the other local AC stations. The synidcated show really doesn;t fit magic and plus it doesn;t feel right! I know thats crazy but I radio is 50% planning and 50% gut-feeling.

You guys are missing the point! They are Clear Channel, which means if something is working and getting better everyday, stop it and get something for less money that does not work. With the people that they have let go or taken off the air in the recent year, you can tell either they want out of the business of radio, or they need to be out of it. Good luck to you guys let them clear the channels of all Clear Channel.
