New Morning Team at Score, More to come??

SCORE AM/FM now has Andy Gresh & Scott Zolak as the new morning show now from 6am to 10am.

What happens to Coach, Rooke, & Hyder, and Cordischi?

I heard a Promo at 6:30pm tonight.....Coach and a player to be named later 10am-12noon, Cordischi and former Patriots Football Weekly writer Brian Morry 3pm-7pm. I guess Rooke and Hyder are gone. I liked Rooke, could have done without Hyder though. We'll see what comes of this line-up.

Haven't you heard WEEI is now on 103.7? We don't need The Score anymore :)

I guess they really like Gresh, because he was on mornings, moved to afternoons, back to mornings. Not sure I see why.

Local is much better than syndicated in some situations.

I get annoyed by everyone being on the WEEI bandwagon. If Providence always wants to be considered, mini-Boston, then ok, we can even share a radio station. But if your like me and like the local feel and Providence standing on its own two feet, then I'm all about The Score!!!

I think the thing that's so attractive about WEEI, over WSKO, is that it features people who are closer to the players, closer to the game, than we the listeners are. You get the feeling when listening to SKO, or other smaller market sports stations or shows, that it's just guys sitting around talking about sports. Yes they know more about sports than I do, but they're not really "in". On WEEI, you get writers, coaches, players. You just end up feeling more informed. It's too bad for SKO that a major market station was able to move in and provide content that's above what might otherwise be available locally; because Rhode Island depends on Boston for it's sports teams.

That makes sense, I see that point being valid. That's just the nature of being a difference between an "A" act market and a "B" act market.

I will say that SKO has definitely increased their closeness to the things that are part of the game. Just take their weekly interviews for both baseball & football. If you listen all day, you will be suprised by how many good conversations they get to have with the players. I mean just look at how when Wells had convos with Gresh, some of the stuff ended up getting run Nationally or at least written about.

For me Jim Rome is what makes the deal sweeter listening to the score.

I think the Score is a decent station. I moved to the area from Boston a few years back and thought I'd be lost without EEI. But I grew to like SKO... then came EEI on 103.7 and I made the switch back. HATE Jim Rome though. I've heard people say if you listen enough, you'll grow to like it. I just can't listen "enough".
