New Mornings on KPTK 1090

Any of you insiders know who will be the new morning man/woman on KPTK 1090?

What will they do with "Morning Sedition" run it live at 3 AM, Pacific?

Monday Changes on KPTK

Stephanie Miller's Los Angeles-based show takes over the 6-9 a.m. slot Monday -
currently held by "Morning Sedition," which moves to 3-5 a.m.

Thom Hartmann's show originating in Portland, takes over the 9 a.m.-noon slot currently held by Al Franken, who moves to 3-6 p.m.

Ed Schultz stays at noon-3 p.m., Randi Rhodes takes the 6-10 p.m. slot
and Mike Malloy is on 10 p.m.-1 a.m.

Surprising seeing that Franken typically (and surprisingly) takes top numbers on new PT stations. But why move him? His show is awful. Find something live.

Franken

Franken's show is awful...

agreed. He's a total moron. I've listened to KPTK, and can only say that BIG EDDIE is the only show worth listening to.

Ssssshhh, let them say what they think. It's more amusing to read that. Don't let facts get in the way.

Re: Franken

I don't always listen ... but have caught some of his "special" days (Inauguration Day, State of the Union) -- and he does some fantasy stuff that is HILARIOUS. Regardless of the point of view, the writing is funny --- and my vote is that still makes great radio. Not saying it appeals to the masses (Cashman also had great radio but sometimes hard to roll with it because it would slow down and show pace would drag just to handle a long bit).

Liked the State of Union...where they were "covering it" -- and you hear this squeaky wheel cart ... as Franken explaining they are wheeling in "the nuclear bomb". Premise was that some wizard figured odds of TWO nuclear devices in the same place at same time were darn near impossible, so the Fed's figured if they brought in their own device it would make the odds anyone else would have one there impossible. Gotta admit ... sure better than hearing someone read a liner about Maroon five coming up in the next "LONG SET OF MUSIC...."!!!
