New music time!

New music, new predictions time.BO BICE "U Make Me Better" [Add date: 20 June; Spins this week: 0]Is this a Creed or Alter Bridge outtake? Now seriously, "The Real Thing" went Top 20, but this... going for adds in a week and not even registering a single spin on Pop... I guess it pretty much speaks for itself, really...CHRISTINA MILIAN "Gonna Tell Everybody" [Add date: N/A; Spins this week: 0]"Say I" is already losing spins and maybe it seems a bit too early to release this just yet. Anyway, this is such a by-the-numbers ballad that it'll be a miracle if this even registers in above the Top 30 (and I'm being optimistic).JILL CRISCUOLO "I'm Sorry" [Add date: N/A; Spins this week: 6; Bullet: +6; Chart #: 276]Crap label, to begin with. And by the looks of it, she's just one more model/actress/singer coming by. And her voice... well, let's not get started! Top 100, if it gets lucky!ROCK KILLS KID "Paralyzed" [Add date: 20 June; Spins this week: 2; Bullet: -2; Chart #: 514]#12 at Alternative this week, with a 72+ bullet. I guess it depends on how much it'll do in the next few weeks at Alternative, If it goes Top 5 there, maybe it'll have a chance at Top 40 on Pop. If not, it won't reach higher than Top 75 or something. Besides, this sound more like Hot AC business than anything else.TEDDY GEIGER "These Walls" [Add date: 18 July; Spins this week: 18: Bullet: +13; Chart #: 189]The musical lovechild of John Mayer and Gavin DeGraw managed Top 20 with "For You I Will", but it'll be lucky for him if this average pop/rocker manages Top 30.THE VERONICAS "When It All Falls Apart" [Add date: 27 June; Spins this week: 6; Bullet: -1; Chart #: 288]First single "4Ever" didn't do jack, but this one... I'm actually seeing this one doing quite well, especially when summer really kicks in. Catchy (if not immediately catchy) chorus, both have good voices and the guitar licks are quite inspired. Top 10, at least, if there's any justice!

All flops.Right now the only gaining tracks outside the top 40 that will get any success are these:Gnarls Barkley - CrazyCheyanne Kimball - Hangin' OnKelis - BossyNe-Yo - Sexy LoveE40 - U & DatAshlee Simpson - InvisibleBubba Sparxxx - Heat It UpKelly Clarkson - GoneStacie Orrico - I'm Not Missing YouPussycat Dolls - Wait A MinuteWhether you like em or hate em, those will likely be entering the top 40 in the next one or two months.

There is a small (well, not that small) detail I forgot: Rock Kills Kid's song just had its video added to the VH1 playlist. It might be a very important factor to its success, I say. ;)

I think the Christina Milian record that the original poster mentioned has a better shot at being a hit than 'Say I' did.Of the records you mentioned, I believe Gnarls Barkley, Kelly Clarkson, and MAYBE Stacie Orrico are hits. The rest are stiffs.

First, with Christina Milian getting dumped from IDJMG I don't think her next single is going to get a fair shot. I personally don't think it's a hit, especially since her last two singles have stiffed. SECOND, here are the records on that list that you consider stiffs that I think are gonna make it. Kelis - BossyAlready HUGE at Rhythm, the stations that are on it are getting great research and it's just pop enough for mainstream to play it and win. Ne-Yo - Sexy LoveThis one will go top 20, but not as fast as so sick. E40 - U & DatThis one is a SMASH! Already making big strides at Rhythm. Bubba Sparxxx - Heat It UpMaybe not as big as Miss New Booty, but definately a top 20 contender. Kelly Clarkson - GoneIt's Kelly, c'mon. SMASH!

Q 100 in Atlanta had been playing Clarkson's "Gone" in January and February. I liked it when I heard it on the radio then and hope it makes it

Perhaps, but I believe this record is a better song than 'Say I' was. I think there is more substance to this song and is more relatable to the Pop core audience... think Paula Deanda, in terms of sound.Kelis - BossyAlready HUGE at Rhythm, the stations that are on it are getting great research and it's just pop enough for mainstream to play it and win. Don't get me wrong, I believe in this song in my own market (it's a power at the station that I am MD at), but I don't think this is a national hit. I think it's a bit on the "Ghetto Girl Anthem" side for a lot of the smaller market stations -- mainly due to the "small market equals rap doesn't work here" mentality that quite a few of those PDs and MDs seem to have -- to play it. A peak between 15 and 25 is a good possibility, but I wouldn't be too sure about any higher than that. But, as with anything, I could be wrong.Ne-Yo - Sexy LoveThis one will go top 20, but not as fast as so sick. When You're Mad was a better song than this one is, IMO. This is a Rhythmic hit, perhaps, but I don't see it being a Pop smash.E40 - U & DatThis one is a SMASH! Already making big strides at Rhythm. Rhythmic hit, not Pop.Bubba Sparxxx - Heat It UpMaybe not as big as Miss New Booty, but definately a top 20 contender. See E-40.Kelly Clarkson - GoneIt's Kelly, c'mon. SMASH! I didn't -- as you realized already -- call this one a stiff, but I'd just like to point out a slight flaw in your logic ("It's Kelly, c'mon). Might I remind you of a couple releases called "The Trouble With Love Is" and "Low?" A lot of folks probably had the same mentality with those records and they did what, again? ;)

Already making big strides at Rhythm. Rhythmic hit, not Pop.I'm taking it as if you've never heard this one. People, in just about any market, will love this jam. At least it's something you can blast in your car...it's at least a top 20.Bubba Sparxxx - Heat It UpMaybe not as big as Miss New Booty, but definately a top 20 contender. See E-40.Agreeing with earlier statement Maybe not as big as Miss New Booty, but definately a top 20 contender. Kelly Clarkson - GoneIt's Kelly, c'mon. SMASH! And The Trouble With Love Is was only released as a single because it was featured on the Love Actually soundtrack--if Kelly hadn't signed with the soundtrack producers her next single would've been Just Missed The Train (as shown on her album cover).
