New music update

OMARION "ICE BOX"

Not too bad of a song, and one darn interesting metaphor. Also I was suprised to find this produced by Timbaland, sounds nothing like he would do. Anyhow, it's missing SOMETHING, I can't put my finger on it, but it's missing that hit-potiental for some reason.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS "SNOW (HEY OH)"

If larger markets start catching on to this before it's too late, this could be huge. Great song, mid-tempoed, and has more potiental on this format than "Dani California" did.

FRANKIE J "DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL"

Love the song, but it doesn't seem like he has much power left, his album did terrible. (Who on earth picked awful That Girl as first single?)

DANITY KANE "RIDE FOR YOU"

Average R&B song, nothing special to it, not a bad or great song, nothing I wouldn't turn off if it were playing but I wouldn't be looking for it.

JIBBS "GO TOO FAR"

Will be the next Bow Wow "Like You". Doesn't mean I like it.

TAIO CRUZ "I JUST WANNA KNOW"

2007's Mario "Let Me Love You". Love the song, and will be huge.

FERGIE "GLAMOROUS"

Will be huge.

OMARION "ICE BOX"

This song gets tiring quick, I doubt that it will even crack the Top 40.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS "SNOW (HEY OH)"

Great song, I still love it and I've been listening to this song since the album was released. It has potential, but I think this one will stay on Alternative radio, maybe reaching Top 30 at best on CHR.

FRANKIE J "DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL"

Good song, different from any other Frankie J song or any song on the top 40 in general. I wouldn't be surprised if this song went far.

DANITY KANE "RIDE FOR YOU"

Boring. Better than Show Stopeer though, and it has a nice beat.

JIBBS "GO TOO FAR"

Haven't heard it yet, but I heard it's good...?

TAIO CRUZ "I JUST WANNA KNOW"

Haven't heard this yet either.

FERGIE "GLAMOROUS"

I don't think this song will go far, there's only so much Fergie we can take.

Other New Singles Climbing Up The Charts Soon Incude:

The Fray-Look After You-
I have listened to the entire album. This might work.

Hinder-Better Than Me-
A bit slow, but it's really good. Again I have this album

Akon- Don't Matter-
It's alright, but it's not as good as his last two singles. I like Akon, he's the few rap artist that I actually like.

The Fray - Look After You: This is one of those songs that feels like its 10min when its only 4. Its nowhere near as good as Over My Head and How To Save A Life.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow: Great track. Won't go anywhere on CHR.

Omarion - Ice Box: Haven't heard it.

Frankie J - Daddy's Little Girl: Haven't heard it.

Jibbs - Go Too Far: Pretty good track. Samples Janet Jackson - Let's Wait Awhile. WAY better then Chain Hang Low for sure.

Taio Cruz - I Just Wanna Know: Formula R&B. In other words, lame.

Fergie - Glamorous: It'll be big just because its Fergie.

Hinder - Better Than Me: Nah

Akon - Don't Matter: This will probably crack the top 20.

Danity Kane - Ride For You: Haven't heard it

Gia Farrell - Hit Me Up: If you liked "Pon de Replay", you will like this.

Augustana - Boston: Bland, don't like it at all. I'm more of a fan of the Alternative format crossing over. (like Papa Roach's "Scars" and RJA's "Face Down")

Jim Jones - We Fly High: Ballinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, will do okay since it has that hook, but I find it annoying.

Plain White T's - Hate (I Really Don't Like You): Boring and repetitive.

Young Jeezy - I Luv It: If you liked "Soul Survivor", you will like this.

Agree with you Jeremey on The Fray. Over My Head and How to Save a Life are excellent songs (and huge hits). I don't see this other one being that successful.

Red Hot Chili Peppers: Snow (Hey Oh) Love the song. I think it'll do fine on Hot AC and Alternative stations, but I don't see this being a big hit for CHR.

New Music

AFI-Love Like Winter
I thought this was already released to radio like a year or so ago

Good Charlotte-The River-
Didn't hear it yet and probably don't wanna.

Halifax-Under Fire-
This band is really really good.

AFI seems to be slow to catch on with CHR. Miss Murder didn't really seem to take off there, but maybe this one will have better results.

Is Halifax trying a song on CHR? That should be interesting. The one song I've heard from them so far was "Our Revolution" which sounds a lot like Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart", only without the talkbox.
