What new NBA deal?

I hope maybe CBS gets part of it.

I hope not.

Why?! ESPN is horrible (let alone ABC).

I agree ABC.I missed Roone Arledge and Jim McKay.Thats when I was more into tv sports. How about Fox Sports.

Maybe My Network TV could air some of the Saturday night games. Of course, they would be considered syndicated games according to the AC Nielsen company, but hey, the networks usually air mostly reruns, so this would be a G-R-R-REAT idea! (LOL)

CBS won't, they care more about college basketball. Plus CBS has golf on Sunday's.

I think NBA belongs on NBC like it was in the 90s. A bunch of people rather see it on NBC then the current ABC.

Yeah, ESPN gets the lion share of the NBA, with ABC getting only 15 regular season games and 15 playoff games, leading up to the Finals. I wanna see an NBA game every weekend on free TV. Move the Saturday night games from NBA-TV to MyNetwork TV and air them on a regional basis. I'll bet you that CTV in Canada will bet the NHL in 2014 and send the bulk of the games to TSN and RDS with only 15 or so Sunday games on CTV(and on French track SRC Radio-Canada).

"The NBA is horrible. I'm hoping for a complete lockout this season."

You'll get your wish in all likelihood. Question is, what will the networks use to fill the programming gaps?

I wonder what NBA TV will show all season? ;D

I actually like the NBA. At least it's a sport to watch during the week. Without it we only have football on weekends. I hate hockey, so forget that.

TNT - movie or hit show
ESPN - more college basketball shown on a national level on top of the amount ESPN already shows. This was done during the NHL lockout and ESPN saw higher ratings.

Probably all of the Euro, Aussie and Chinese basketball they can get so that people can keep track of their favorite players despite questions like "I thought FC Barcelona played soccer" (they also field a basketball team). Also, lots of D-League and maybe one of those leagues of 90 teams playing in tiny YMCA's like the new ABA that somehow get Wikipedia notability.
