Hey gang...What are your thoughts on the NBC 5 makeover?

I am not sure I like the music being used yet, but I like the graphics better.

As for the set, that brings our time around to........

Why don't they just name NBC5 News "Entertainment Tonight" and be done with it. Besides trademark issues, I am sure they could come up with a similar type title.

Hey..blame network, since they're the ones who push the graphics packages for the O&Os.

>Looks the same, only different. At least there is no distracting rotating "5" in the corner. Speaking of NBC, the most distracting "bug" is on the Today show. It changes fron the peacock to the today name every few seconds.

other ID/show animation

Sounds like what CNBC has been doing the last several months with it's 'Wake Up Call' show. There is more info along the bottom and the far right corner shows an alternation between the CNBC logo (feathers come together at the top and bounce away) and the show logo (the words Wake Up Call appear where the CNBC logo was and an arrow pops the Up word up from below).

Each time the fall season starts,KXAS always changes their graphics or sets. Cosmetic appearances can't change the fact that their newscast (with the exception of Finfrock) is abysmal. WFAA seems to have finally stop the glitches, the mis cues and the general chaos that enveloped them in the spring. "Morticia" still needs to go and Brad Hawkins is not an anchor.

I found out why Janet St.James went missing for a few weeks. Accrued vacation used for, cosmetic surgery. You can tell the difference around her eyes and her teeth. 'Dem younguns are being hired too rapidly. Janet is good and she should be judged on her talent..period.
