"New Normal" Halloween episode

Why did this air in late winter?

I know they've done other holidays so this episode surely is out of order, and not intended to continue storylines that have been airing over the past few weeks.

I think why it was delayed was because of hurricane sandy coverage,Why they aired it this late is anyone's guess.

The episode was preempted in November Sweeps by weather (when NBC was worried they wouldn't get ratings....little did they know how bad things would get, though that's another story). Three reasons for airing it now: Sweeps are over, The Voice starts in a couple weeks (NBC would air that show 6 days a week, three hours a night if they could get away with it), and TNN is prime for cancellation anyway.

I haven't watched it yet (I wait until the commercial free version is loaded to on-demand), but I am surprised they didn't tape a "wrap-around" scene or two. I've seen other sitcoms do that. Open with a brief scene where someone basically says "Hey do you remember...." and treat the show as a flashback.
