New "Oldies" in South Dakota

A recent sign-on in the Rapid City market. B102 (KFMH) at 101.9. The word oldies is not used, it's the greatest hits of all time. From the 50's to the late 70's. I logged 90 minutes Thurday morning. I've been impressed because it's not just the same 300 burners. It will be interesting to see how the Arbitron gods deal with this station. Rapid City has two books a year. It sure has been fun listening to the radio again.

Good to see that they got ONE '50s song in there.
 
when oldies comes back on in ny or baltimore or orlando or charlotte or one of the other several dozen top 50-type markets we can start 2 get excited

I agree, I doubt that a greatest hits station in South Dakota is going to start a national trend. But it's fun to listen again in Rapid City.
 
Sorry to bust your bubble but that appears to be the same crap all the other oldies stations play. I checked it against the Mediabase oldies chart...
